The lion and one of his women were right by the window showing us their loveliness.

Lily wanted to check out this little building in ‘Africa’. She’s seen it a hundred times and never cared about it before. We probably spent 10 minutes here.

It had been sprinkling when we first got to the zoo, by this point Lil didn’t need her jacket but refused to take it off.

When we left the zoo we drove around the surrounding park looking for more geese. We found them.

They were everywhere and totally adorable.

Lily rode the carousal 3 times this trip, usually we limit it to 2 because that’s all we can take. I don’t know how Waldo and I survived because I swear the carousal was set to warp speed. Waldo took two turns and I did the last. I was dizzy just from watching his two turns. I had to keep my eyes closed through most of my turn.

All of the geese were nesting. This one decided to nest on top of a low building.

Lily knows that bunny’s don’t hatch from eggs, but she kept telling me that they did so she could do this.

We took some very high quality organic whole wheat bread to throw at the geese (that weren’t on nests) because I didn’t realize I was out of popcorn.

We are almost done with these zoo updates folks, I swear. We are up to November of last year.

We didn’t go to zoo as much this winter as we had last year. It was much colder this year and we just weren’t up for it. So we are now at April of this year.
