Random Mobile Shots

I’m trying to do one of the photo-a-day challenges this month. I’ve missed a few days, but I’m trying to not be too hard on my self on those days and just remembering to do it the next day.  Most of these pictures are from that challenge.

It has been snowing A LOT here the last week or so.
I assure you that there is a street under all that snow. #FMSPHOTOADAY street

Just about every time we head out to play in the snow I fill up a few squeeze bottles with colored water for Lil to play with. she loves them. This time we went out I grabbed one of the sand table toys, it was a ice cream truck mold. I totally thought the snow would release from the mold easily and that is so not what happened. After a few failed attempts of straight snow trucks, I decided to try adding some of the colored water to them to help hold the snow together. It worked well the first time and the layers of color looked cool. The next attempt was a fail too.
Behold the colorful snow ice cream truck. I really thought the sand mold would work better than it did. This was the only one that worked out of 5 tries. #snowfun

Lily wanted to make a diaper for her baby so we made one out of paper.

We went to the aquarium last Sunday and Lily used her new camera. She loves taking pictures.

My little yogi

I have always loved yoga. I don’t do it that often, but I have done it a handful of times with Lil or at least she’s seen me do it. Every once in a while she’ll say she wants to do some yoga so we’ll do a few minutes and then she loses interest. A few days ago she was hanging out with Waldo while I worked and she walked in all the sudden and informed me that she wanted to do some yoga so she put on her ballet tutu and wanted to know if she could use my yoga mat. I told her where it was and then the next thing I know I get a text from Waldo with this picture attached.

Lily yoga

We texted back and forth about this for a minute and then he texted me ‘I can’t believe you’re missing this’. I couldn’t believe I was missing it either so I got up and walked the huge distance to the bedroom and couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

Lily told waldo to find a yoga video online for her. He found a really good one, turned it on and she totally did the whole 15 minutes and then asked for more. She ended up doing about 30 minutes of yoga and kept wanting to do more. It was one of those great moments for me. I can’t wait to do more yoga with my kiddo.

Snow Day

One of the things we prefer about Boise over our beloved Montana is the more mild winter. Last winter we only had two or three snows at our house and only one time did snow stick around and get deep enough to make a little snowman. We kept being told that it was an unusually mild winter, but we loved it. Well let me tell you, last winter must have been unusual because we’ve already had snow at least three times this winter and the last two have lasted overnight. I love looking at the snow, but I hate driving or walking in the stupid crap. Lily loves all of it however. She’s wanted to build another snowman since we did the one last year. So I put on my big-girl-Mama-panties and we went out to play in the freezing snow.

Unfortunately the snow didn’t agree to be snowman worthy. Lily didn’t let this bring her down. She just played and played. Snow angels worked out pretty good and I made three different colored water squirters for her to color the snow. Even without a fantastic snowman my girl had a good time.

I have always loved the look of snow sitting on tree or plants so I took some pictures of the plants in the back yard.

It’s a busy time of year

I don’t like letting my little piece of the innerwebs sit idle too long so I thought I should come and just say what a crazy time of year it is right now. I’m sure it’s the same for just about everyone. Between Lily’s birthday and Christmas I am drowning. I’ll come up for air soon and finish the Thanksgiving post I have in the works and then start back up with some kind of regular posting.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday season.

I’ll leave this post with a few pictures that Waldo and I have taken recently. It snowed here and Lily loved it.
