Like most if not all the Mama’s out there I need to take more time for myself and take better care of myself. I used to take bubble baths that I spiked with lovely scents and had a lot of fun making bath salts and other yummy bath goodies. I need to break out my recipes and make some more bath fizzies and face scrubs.
I haven’t made any yummy bath goodies yet but tonight I decided to start small. We just bought a big bag of baking soda from Costco so I went and got a little cup of it and took it in the shower with me. I mixed some of my face cleaner with the baking soda and scrubbed away. My face is so nice and smooth right now, I love it.
Baking soda is a wonderful natural do-it-all product. Like I said I mixed some with my face cleaner tonight. I’ve also use some mixed with a little honey as a great face scrub. Oh a little bit mixed with a couple of un-coated aspirin make a great pore cleaning mask. I could go on and on about this, I won’t today but look for more in the future.
please do post more in the future! I’ve never done anything with baking soda besides bake and scrub the floor π
Oh my gosh please post all your recipes for the face stuff. Pore cleaning, ex-foliating, masks for dry skin, etc. I’m all for trying the stuff you post!
Whee! I’m excited!
Hey! I wrote a post like this two years ago π It’s in my blog archives under Pantry Potions. If you use brown sugar, it makes a great scrub as well. Works great on tired, cracked feet and elbows as well!
I’ve conducted Pantry Potions workshops at the Women’s Outdoor Weekend and would love to exchange pantry potions with you! Hey, maybe we can make it an on-going blog theme for a week or something! π xoxo
